In many ways Brad is the core of “Lix”. Deriving a heavy influence
from guitarists such as Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, Brad’s talent cannot go
unnoticed in either their studio work, or live performances. Brad prides
himself on the fact that he has a heavy, yet clean, guitar sound, “you can hear
every note I’m playing,” he says, “unlike bands that just crank the distortion.
Since he started playing he has always worked hard and after joining “Lix” his
Sophomore year in high school he has progressed to an astounding level. He really
enjoys rocking out during live performances as well. “I want to give the audience
something their not going to get on a recorded CD,” says Brad, “each time I want them
to hear something different in my solos, I don’t like giving them the same old thing
again and again.” He complements Jay extremely well with his guitar solos. However,
he never really eclipses him, they just flow together. He also tends to listen to
more classic rock than modern, so he brings a unique style to their studio work.
Yes the big guitar solo is back ladies and gentlemen, and it’s in the very capable
hands of Brad Brockmeyer.
